A 44-year-old man from York described by police as a white UK national was arrested this morning and remains in police custody for questioning after the alleged incident at the York Mosque and Islamic Centre in Bull Lane. Officers from North Yorkshire Police continue to carry out CCTV reviews, forensic investigations and other enquiries. "Our Neighbourhood Policing Team are engaging with people who attend York Mosque and who have been left frightened."
