Hawking also highlighted the impact AI might have on middle-class jobs and even advocated for a complete ban on the development of AI agents for military use. Stephen Hawking has called on investors to support his Breakthrough Starshot initiative, which aims to make a journey to Alpha Centauri, the closest star system to the Sun, in just 20 years.
