Man dies after getting into difficulty at Essex beach as emergency services rush to scene

A man has died after getting into difficulty at an Essex beach as emergency services rush to the scene. Officers were contacted just before 2.10pm this afternoon with reports about a man in the sea off The Esplanade in Frinton. An air ambulance landed on the Greensward in Frinton-on-Sea while emergency services rushed to the scene to assist. "We would ask members of the public to avoid the area wherever possible to allow emergency services to carry out their work safely and effectively." A man in his 20s and a teenage girl were also rescued from the scene.
