Photo: Chloe TallackAcclaimed isles singer-songwriter Jenny Sturgeon said she was ‘bowled over’ after crowdfunding over £12,000 towards a new album in less than a week. Since her previous album The Living Mountain released in 2020, Sturgeon has been working on her “most ambitious” album to date. To support the production and release of the album, she launched a crowdfunding effort last week with help from Creative Scotland’s Crowdmatch scheme, which matches each donation up to £250. When sharing the fundraiser, Sturgeon described themes of "exploring the relationships that shape our lives" in writing the new album.
