Kirk Street in Prestonpans will remain closed until July 31 after a temporary traffic order covering part of the road was extended by East Lothian Council. The closure runs from the junction with Ayres Wynd to outside No 9 Grey School Corner, with the route first having been shut on July 20 for works and originally due to reopen today. Drivers are prohibited from using this section of Kirk Street while works are carried out, although emergency access will be maintained.
