Located in North Berwick’s Lodge Grounds, the carpet bedding has been created to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Capability Scotland, a charity supporting disabled people across Scotland. "I read it was 80 years since Capability Scotland was founded in 1946 so I contacted them to asked if we could highlight their great work. "I designed a plan using their logo, taking into account size and plant material, and chose typical carpet bedding plants. The carpet bed will be visited by Britain in Bloom judges in August as North Berwick represents Scotland in the competition. Victoria Roberts, a spokesperson for Capability Scotland, said: "We are thrilled to have been recognised in the 2026 commemorative floral carpet bed in North Berwick’s Lodge Grounds.
