Andrew O’Connor, of Meetinghouse Drive, Tranent, was arrested by police after he stole a quantity of electrical items from the Aldi store at Haddington Retail Park on November 29 last year. O’Connor was also found to have failed to give details of the driver of a vehicle that had allegedly been involved in an accident near his home on October 2 last year. O’Connor, 46, pleaded guilty to both offences during a hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week. Sentence was deferred to next month for reports.
