John Swinney attended the final day of swimming and para-swimming at the games yesterday which saw Angharad Evans take home multiple gold medals for her efforts in the pool. Evans' success makes her the first Scottish woman to win two gold medals for swimming since Caitlin McClatchey 20 years ago. Mr Swinney said: “It was brilliant to attend the swimming tonight to see our Team Scotland athletes perform and achieve on the world stage. Every one of our athletes, across every sport, has done Scotland proud at these Games – and they've inspired a whole new generation to take up the mantle. “The Team Scotland athletes are brilliant ambassadors for Scotland.
