The app was supposed to come into effect this morning, sunsetting the old one which had been used for years prior but users have found consistent issues in switching over. As a result, ScotRail have announced that the old app will remain in use until midday today while their team works on the new app's issues behind the curtain. A post on ScotRail's social media accounts reads: "We’re sorry for the delay to anyone switching their ScotRail app today. "We are working with our technical teams to clear this as quickly as possible and we apologise for the inconvenience. "Customers who are having issues can continue to use the old ScotRail app to purchase tickets until midday."
