Two women, aged 62 and 87 as well as a 27-year-old man were hospitalised following the collision on the A71. We previously reported that the road was closed between the B7078 and Stonehouse yesterday at 4.30pm but it has now reopened. A Police Scotland social media posts read: "The A71 is open between the B7078 and Stonehouse following a crash involving three cars around 4.30pm on Wednesday, 29 July, 2026. "Two women, aged 62 and 87, and a 27-year-old man were taken to hospital. Enquiries are ongoing."
