Scottish Water will be carrying out investigation work on the route from Monday, August 3 as part of plans to improve the local wastewater network. The work will involve excavating a number of trial holes to assess ground conditions, existing sewer infrastructure and the location of other utility services. The information gathered will help inform the design of future investment aimed at improving the performance of the wastewater network and protecting the local environment. To allow the work to be carried out safely, temporary traffic lights and a lane closure will be in place on the route, and sections of footpath may also be temporarily closed. The investigation work comes as Scottish Water prepares to submit a planning application for part of the wider improvement project in the Woodside Crescent and Aurs Burn area.
