Several Glasgow city centre road to close in several phases over coming weeks

The first phase of the closure will begin on Monday, August 10, 2026, from the centre of the North Hanover Street / Cathedral Street junction, extending southwards for 30 metres.
During this time, Cathedral Street junction will be under temporary traffic signal control.
Following this, Phase 2 will commence on August 12, 2026, covering the area from the same junction northwards to the south end of the North Hanover Street / Killermont Street junction.
Phase 3 will take place from August 17, 2026, moving from the south end of the North Hanover Street / Killermont Street junction northwards to the south end of the North Hanover Street / Cowcaddens Road junction.
This phase will cover the area from the north end of the North Hanover Street / Killermont Street junction to the south end of the North Hanover Street / Dobbie’s Loan junction.
