The first phase of the closure will begin on Monday, August 10, 2026, from the centre of the North Hanover Street / Cathedral Street junction, extending southwards for 30 metres. During this time, Cathedral Street junction will be under temporary traffic signal control. Following this, Phase 2 will commence on August 12, 2026, covering the area from the same junction northwards to the south end of the North Hanover Street / Killermont Street junction. Phase 3 will take place from August 17, 2026, moving from the south end of the North Hanover Street / Killermont Street junction northwards to the south end of the North Hanover Street / Cowcaddens Road junction. This phase will cover the area from the north end of the North Hanover Street / Killermont Street junction to the south end of the North Hanover Street / Dobbie’s Loan junction.
