The Govan to Partick bridge will be shut to pedestrian and cycle traffic from 8pm until around 10pm this evening. In a post shared on Facebook, operators said: "The Govan-Partick Bridge will be closed to pedestrian/cycle traffic from 20:00 until approximately 22:00 today in order for PS Waverley to pass. "We apologise for any inconvenience, please plan your journeys accordingly." The closure comes just days after the bridge was hit by “technical problems” and shut to pedestrians until further notice, sparking frustration for people on both sides of the river. Commuters and residents are being urged to factor the temporary closure into their travel plans tonight.
