Grant Wingate or Farwell, 39, lashed out at Sheriff Allan Mackay and his court clerk at Glasgow Sheriff Court on December 27, 2025. During the hearing, Wingate became "frustrated with events" and made comments that he wanted to plead guilty. At the end of the hearing, Sheriff Mackay listed the results of all of Wingate's matters and told him his bail would be revoked. Prosecutor Lauren Aitchison told the later hearing: "Sheriff Mackay immediately requested that Wingate be removed from the dock. Wingate pleaded guilty to assaulting Sheriff Mackay and the court clerk.
