Russia has extended restrictions on gasoline and diesel exports through January 31, 2027, just five days after saying the diesel ban would disappear once its domestic fuel market recovered. The new order covers gasoline, diesel, marine fuel, and gas oils. Another measure is aimed at securing gasoline and diesel supplies for state and local institutions. That is a lot of government intervention for a fuel market that was supposedly on the mend. The extension arrives as the global diesel market is already running short.
