Μake us preferred on GoogleThe Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, the General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Posts, and the Hellenic Space Center have unveiled the structure of Greece’s new National Space Program, HELLAS-SPACE 2.0, with a budget of 350 million euros. Building on the experience and results of the National Microsatellite Program, the new initiative aims to significantly expand Greece’s role in the space sector by covering a broader portion of the value chain — from space infrastructure and critical technologies to applications, innovation, research and workforce development. The program is designed to strengthen Greece’s national space infrastructure and strategic capabilities while fostering a competitive, outward-looking domestic space industry. It also seeks to leverage space technologies to address challenges related to the environment, civil protection, security and the economy. A key objective is to deepen cooperation among the public sector, universities, research institutions, businesses and international partners, creating a stronger ecosystem for investment, innovation and technological development.
