The Butler Institute of American Art announced in May that it had hired the Pittsburgh native as its fourth executive director, succeeding Louis Zona.
Her own journey with museums began “really close to home,” she reflected.
The Butler is “really the flagship” of the area’s strong museum community because it was first and was unique in its collecting field, focusing on American art.
“It’s something I’ve been working towards my entire career, and I’m really, really excited to steward this museum and give back to this community in a meaningful way.”
