(AURN News) — Did you know that August is National Black Business Month?
Here are the numbers behind the impact of Black-owned businesses in America.
With more than 3 million Black-owned businesses in the country, those businesses generate an estimated $200 billion in combined annual revenue.
Established in 2004 by John William Templeton and Frederick E. Jordan, National Black Business Month was created to encourage, support and highlight Black-owned businesses.
You can do your part by shopping Black and local, supporting Black-owned entrepreneurs and raising awareness about the challenges Black businesses face.
