The contractor killed after becoming trapped in a storm sewer during dangerous weather this week has been identified as an investigation into what happened continues. The body of 33-year-old Ivan Perez of Pasadena, Texas, was found Tuesday in the 5100 block of Washington Street in Downers Grove, authorities said. Perez was one of two contractors who became trapped in a storm sewer during Monday’s severe weather. The Houston based company started work last year with repairs to help maintain the 11-foot diameter, 2,200-foot-long pipe. NBC Chicago reached out to the company asking about the internal investigation and the safety procedures and protocols.
