Paxton Investigates Texas Puppy Seller Over Breeder, Health Claims

KLBJ-AM – Austin, TX
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has launched an investigation into a Central Texas puppy seller over allegations it misled customers about where its dogs come from and the veterinary care they receive.
According to the attorney general’s office, the company advertises that it works exclusively with reputable breeders and provides top-tier veterinary care.
The attorney general’s office says records show the puppies receive pre-purchase veterinary exams in Holmes County, Ohio, an area known for large-scale commercial dog breeding operations.
According to the attorney general’s office, an undercover investigation found the company performs only two of the four health screenings required for that certification.
“We will thoroughly investigate any company that deceives consumers and puts profits over the health and well-being of animals.”
