The landmark Rike Jugs architectural complex in central Tbilisi, on Europe Square, is being demolished after the city authorities granted permission for the work. The complex, known as the Rike Jugs, consists of a music theatre and an exhibition centre. After years of standing empty, the Rike Jugs were eventually put up for sale. Under the terms of the deal, the company must build a hotel on the site by 2030, investing 44 million lari (around $16.3 million) in the project.
