A status orange high forest fire risk warning is extended until next week as fire crews continue to manage and monitor flare-ups which have reignited across Slievenamon. The warning is now in place until midday next Tuesday. Tipperary Fire and Rescue Service says that due to the high temperatures in already burnt ground, it is not unusual for fire lines to reignite. The service has been monitoring and dealing with the wildfire for the last 10 day, and it’s expected to continue until significant rainfall hits the area. As of now Met Éireann is forecasting only light showers for the coming days.
