A medical device manufacturer company based in Clonmel has informed the Government of potential job cuts at its Irish operation. It’s understood the company’s board last week approved a global restructuring plan aimed at cutting costs adding it would lead to some job losses. The Department of Enterprise has confirmed that it received a collective redundancy notification from the business on 22 July. The company says their committed to their long-term future in the country and recognise the significant contributions their employees in Ireland make across their global business. Last year the Boston Scientific’s Clonmel site surpassed €1 million in donations to more than 50 local charities and community organisations across the South-East.
