Trump exhausted all his appeals in the E. Jean Carroll defamation suit, when the “Supreme” Court shockingly upheld lower court verdicts that ordered him to pay Ms. Carroll $5 million. Of course he’s appealing the second verdict – you know, the one where after losing $5 million the first time around, he went on to defame Ms. Carroll YET AGAIN, and the judge ordered him to pay her $83 million this time? Nothing is newsworthy about the second appeal. What is newsworthy is the separate motion filed by the government, petitioning the court to allow said government to replace Donald Trump as the defendant. So, if it turns out he does have to pay the $83 million, wouldn’t it be so much better if U.S. taxpayers paid his bill?
