Before asking whether FNTA should exist, we should first ask: What problem is it trying to solve? When institutions no longer perform their intended function or fail to address persistent grievances, reform becomes a legitimate subject of public debate. The debate should also avoid a false choice between preserving the status quo and embracing FNTA exactly as proposed. The FNTA debate should therefore not become a contest between opposing camps.
