Dignitaries and others during sensitization programme for development of floriculture in mission mode in Kohima on July 30. Kohima, July 30 (MExN): The Department of Horticulture, Government of Nagaland, organised a ‘sensitisation programme on the development of floriculture in mission mode’ under Development (SRE) 2025-26 at the conference hall, Directorate of Horticulture, Kohima on July 30. The initiative aimed to promote commercial cultivation of Anthurium and Lilium, strengthen the floriculture sector, enhance farmers’ income through high-value floriculture, generate employment opportunities, and develop a sustainable market-oriented floriculture ecosystem in the State. Ayieno Hibo, Director of Horticulture, welcomed the participants and highlighted the Department's commitment to promoting floriculture as a viable enterprise. The interaction session provided an opportunity for beneficiaries to clarify their queries regarding the implementation of the project.
