as part of a broader project examining 105 Bronze Age and Early Iron Age artifacts. While copper and bronze were widespread, iron remained a scarce commodity during the Bronze Age. In Spain, scientists recently identified meteoritic iron in two objects from the Bronze Age Treasure of Villena. The new study expands that record by showing that Minoan and Mycenaean elites also valued meteoritic iron.
