FARGO, N.D. — The Cass County Public Safety Task Force convened to establish action items for behavioral health intervention and crisis response across local law enforcement and public safety agencies. Members of the task force reviewed key operational priorities aimed at improving regional resources for individuals undergoing mental health crises. Chief among those priorities is reviving and expanding Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training for local officers. Sergeant Tanya Jahner briefed members on the required steps to get the local CIT program fully operational again. The Cass County Public Safety Task Force scheduled its next working session for Tuesday, September 1.
