The rail operator warned that journeys could take up to an hour and 15 minutes longer using alternative transport. These include routes 74, 74B, and 76 between Clacton and Colchester, route 105 between Walton and Colchester, and routes 7 and 9 between Walton and Clacton. Routes 2 and 2A are also available between Clacton and Manningtree for connecting services to Ipswich, Colchester, and London Liverpool Street. Passengers are advised to speak to station staff for travel support if they cannot postpone their journeys.
