Joseph McElroy, 30, of Beaufort Road, Pembroke pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of Sipsmith London Dry Gin and a bottle described as Premium Gin, with a total value of £47.50. McElroy entered a guilty plea at the hearing on July 28. Magistrates took his guilty plea into account when passing sentence. The court imposed a fine of £40 and ordered him to pay £47.50 in compensation to the Co-op for the value of the stolen goods. In total, McElroy was ordered to pay £172.50.
