"Fishguard and Goodwick twin towns is a single community divided only by a good beach, sea front and wildlife reserve," he said.
He further celebrated the town’s community spirit and historic significance.
He added that the balance between the needs of residents and visitors, critically important in every coastal town, is well met in Fishguard and Goodwick.
"[This is] unlike other winning coastal communities where the local community has been overwhelmed by tourism, he wrote.
