A Polish Air Force F-16 was scrambled in the early hours of July 30, 2026, after radar detected an unidentified object crossing into Polish airspace during a large-scale Russian missile attack on Ukraine.
Radar tracked at least a dozen missiles over western Ukraine whose flight paths posed a potential threat to Polish airspace.
At 03:40, an unidentified object moving west was detected inside Polish airspace, and a quick reaction alert F-16 was sent to identify and intercept it.
