Diehl Aviation has opened a new production facility in Craiova, Romania, adding another site to the company’s European manufacturing network for commercial aircraft components. Diehl Aviation described the investment behind the project as a mid-double-digit million euro amount, without disclosing an exact figure. The Craiova site joins the company’s existing operations in Germany, Hungary, and Mexico, adding capacity intended to support customer production ramp-ups across its international network. Diehl Aviation also said it intends to help build up local supplier and service networks around the site over time. The project was developed in cooperation with Global Vision, a partner the company credited with helping bring the facility to completion.
