Donation of over £99,000 to fund 16 critical care missions for Copeland

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) received the funding from the Mid Copeland GDF Community Partnership to help cover operational costs in the region.
Natasha Banks, senior corporate relationship manager at GNAAS, said: "We are incredibly grateful to Mid Copeland GDF Community Partnership for its generous donation of £99,634, which will help fund the delivery of 16 life-saving missions across Mid Copeland."
The Mid Copeland GDF Community Partnership was awarded the funding as part of discussions around the potential for a geological disposal facility in the area, which includes the Gosforth electoral ward.
Each year, the partnership can access up to £1 million in community investment funding while the GDF discussions are ongoing.
Andy Pratt, chair of the Mid Copeland GDF Community Partnership, said: "We are delighted to award funding to this life-saving service.
