Keswick Cricket Club and Keswick Football Club, both of which are situated in the town’s Hope Park, say they were targeted by vandals yesterday evening, July 29. Martin Thwaites, club secretary at Keswick Football Club said: "We have been down there 17 years since we moved there, and this is the first time anything like that’s ever happened. Andy Bryson, chairman at Keswick Cricket Club said: "It’s just really disappointing, volunteers work very hard. "I think the cost of putting them in potentially outweighs the cost of what we could lose down at the cricket club." Keswick Town Council Parks Manager Christine Fawcett also expressed her dismay at anti-social behaviour in Hope Park and around Keswick.
