This year's service is scheduled for August 2 at 3pm, and is organised by Kushti Bok, a Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller-led charity. Kushti Bok puts on the service to preserve cultural heritage, support communities, and amplify their voices. The service will include prayers led by Rev Jonathan Herbert, and readings and poetry from Romany Gypsies. Ashley L. Jackson will be the special guest speaker. As the daughter of civil rights leader Rev Jesse L. Jackson Sr, she brings her perspectives and experience to this commemorative event.
