The ranking comes from Animal Friends Pet Insurance, which has launched Ultimate UK Dog Walks—a free interactive map featuring the nation’s favourite dog-friendly walking routes based on new consumer research.
The New Forest National Park, which has the Bolderwood Radnor Trail, secured the top spot among dog owners in the South East, who said walking their dogs is one of the best parts of their day.
Other highly rated locations include Ambleside & Lakeside in the Lake District, Box Hill in Surrey, and Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire.
In selecting routes, dog owners prioritised safety, quiet areas, and places where dogs can be let off the lead.
New Forest National Park topped the list with 38 per cent of the vote.
