By Melanie SchwartzMarket ManagerAs summer continues, the Howard County Farmers’ Market is preparing to welcome one of the season’s most anticipated arrivals—fresh, locally grown watermelons. Last week, shoppers found tomatoes, bell peppers, hot peppers, figs, squash, onions, and a variety of other locally grown favorites. Every Friday offers something a little different, depending on what local farmers are harvesting. The Howard County Farmers’ Market is also seeking a new Market Manager to help lead the market into the future. The Howard County Farmers Market is open every Friday from 7 a.m. until noon at the market pavilion.
