A Highland community has rallied around a family who “lost everything” after a devastating fire destroyed their home on the outskirts of Inverness. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was called to the house fire on Viewhill Meadows in Balloch at about 2.40pm on Tuesday. A post read: “The family are a big part of our community here at St Ninian’s Church in Inverness and of the Polish community. There is a link here if anyone would like to help this lovely family in such a heartbreaking time.” A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said:”We were alerted at 2.38pm on Tuesday, July 28, to reports of a dwelling fire at Viewhill Meadows, Balloch, Inverness.
