Police have launched a manhunt after a man was held at knifepoint during a robbery in West Lothian. The incident occurred around 3.15am on Monday on a footpath between Bog Road and Dean Street in Whitburn. A 50-year-old man was approached and threatened with a knife before being robbed of his wallet, which contained a three-figure sum of money. Detective Constable Graeme Rogers said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim, and it is vital we trace the man responsible. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0412 of July 27, 2026.
