The Hornets have officially waived forward Mouhamadou Gueye, the team announced on Thursday (via Twitter). The move had long been expected, especially since the Spanish team Valencia Basket announced last week that it had reached an agreement to add Gueye to its roster for the coming season. After going undrafted out of Pitt in 2022, Gueye spent most of his first four professional seasons in the G League, playing for the Texas Legends, Raptors 905, Capital City Go-Go, and Windy City Bulls. Gueye’s solid play in the G League earned him a two-year contract with the Bulls during the last week of the regular season.
