Since then, members of the Woman’s Club have worked to shape the community and inspire young girls. Members also supported the first Hollywood Studio Club in 1916, creating a dedicated residential club for young women in the film industry. Despite the work these women have done to support Hollywood and the greater Los Angeles area, their legacy is now under attack. Several years ago, club leaders, were taken advantage of in a fraudulent loan, putting the club in immense debt.
