The coroner’s office said the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office called them to the Fox River about 9:20 p.m. Wednesday “to investigate the findings of a partial head found in the Fox River.” The coroner’s office said it was continuing to work with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and McHenry Township Fire Protection District. The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said it responded as an outside assist to the IDNR police.
