The city of Dixon has begun circulating nomination petitions for the 2027 Consolidated Elections, the Office of the City Clerk said in a July 28 release. Dixon is a nonpartisan municipality, and residents running for office must file as if there would be a Consolidated Primary Election, according to the release. The Consolidated Primary Election would be Feb. 23, 2027. If a primary is not necessary, candidates’ names will be placed on the ballot for the Consolidated Election on April 6, 2027, according to the release. Candidate packets may be picked up at the office of the Dixon City Clerk/Local Election Official at 121 W. Second St., or found on the website dixongov.com, according to the release.
