The city of Morris will host a Downtown Streetscape Project Open House from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, in the Community Room at Morris City Hall, 700 N. Division St., according to a news release. The city said the Downtown Streetscape Project is focused on enhancing the appearance, accessibility, safety and functionality of the downtown district while preserving the character that makes Morris a destination for residents, businesses and visitors. “We encourage everyone with an interest in downtown Morris to attend, learn more about the project, and share their thoughts. The event is designed as an informal open house, allowing attendees to stop by at any time between 5 and 7 p.m., the city said.
