The Meat Corporation of Namibia has secured an additional Norwegian beef export quota of 344 766kg after fully using its initial 2026 allocation by the end of June, five months earlier than last year. The additional allocation is expected to generate a further approximately N$100 million,” the statement reads. It highlights that the combined value of Meatco’s Norwegian beef exports for 2026 is estimated at N$365 million. “The Norwegian beef quota is shared between Meatco (75%) and Beefcor (25%). Meatco interim chief executive ambassador Albertus Aochamub says fully utilising the Norwegian quota by June demonstrates growing international confidence in premium Namibian beef and reflects the company’s improved commercial performance.
