Visitors from Russia remained the largest share, accounting for 25.1% (328,900) of all visitors, or nearly one in every four visitors. During the reporting period, international visitors made 1.2 million tourist-type visits, a 2.7% decrease compared to the second quarter of 2025, according to Geostat. Of all international visitors, 81.5% were “only tourists,” meaning they stayed at least one night in Georgia, while 14.8% were “only excursionists” who did not include an overnight stay. Visitors aged 31-50 represented the largest age group, making up 45.6% of all international visitors. Total spending by international visitors reached GEL 3 billion in the second quarter, down 13.3% year-on-year.
