The star of the sale was Uppersevern August Nina, a heifer from the Welshpool-based Uppersevern herd, which sold for £3,750. Close behind at £3,700 was Uppersevern Elevated Nicola, while several more Uppersevern heifers sold for between £3,350 and £3,650. Mr Dymond said the quality of the Welshpool cattle was exceptional. Across all sections, 109 cattle went under the hammer, with fresh heifers averaging £3,032 and fresh cows averaging £2,655.
