Dean Brotherton, 40, appeared before Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 28, where he pleaded not guilty to a single drug driving offence.
The court heard that Brotherton, of Village Walk, Manchester, is alleged to have been driving an Alpina D3 on the A483 near Welshpool on April 12 while over the prescribed limit for cannabis.
Prosecutors allege a roadside test showed he had three micrograms of cannabis per litre of blood in his system, above the legal limit of two micrograms.
Brotherton denied the charge and elected to have the matter heard at trial.
Magistrates adjourned the case and scheduled a trial hearing at Welshpool Magistrates' Court on September 21.
