Flames began erupting from Dunwich Heath at around 5.30pm on Wednesday and crews remain at the site. Nearby RSPB Minsmere announced early on Thursday morning that it would close due to the fire. In a statement on social media, the RSPB attraction said: "Due to the ongoing situation at Dunwich Heath, Minsmere will be closed today (Thursday, July 30). Specialist equipment is being used to tackle the fire, which has spread rapidly, triggering a major incident declaration.
